Alfa - A study
Alfa was an exploration into a character that was to be a part of a much larger painting. Alfa is just a lil’ fella at 16” x 12”, but his final moment came as the central character in the painting Waiting For Me that measured in at 12’ x 4’ and lives in Martha’s Vineyard now. I had never painted that big before and it felt necessary to explore all the characters individually before letting them all hang out together.
I’d really like to meet Alfa and get a big fluffy hug.
