Sleepy Lover 1 & 2 - A study (2 paintings)
Ahhh, the sleepy lovers. Fun to paint two characters knowing they’d end up side by side, but needed to kinda have their own vibe. They are lovers and they love each other and they love you, but they are sleepy…maybe it’s cuddle time, eh?
Each one measure 16” x 12”, but they found their shared spot in the painting Waiting For Me. They’re right there in front of the 4-eyed angel…also a lover. Waiting For Me measures 12’ x 4’ and will be moving to Martha’s Vineyard very soon. I had never painted that big before and it felt necessary to explore all the characters individually before letting them all hang out together. Especially these 2.
